More and more people still believe in God but don't do religion ....because of people being judgmental, having to follow rules of religion or etc...

Without a structure, people will base their belief around their personal agenda. People will do what they want, but its important to have a structure to hold you accountable.

It’s neither, western civilization’s bedrock used to be the rules laid down by Judeo-Christian beliefs.
As we get further and further from that, more harm will come. Hello Holocaust, hello gulag archipelago among others.

I posited this about a year ago and had to fend off counter-arguments from several opponents. The university scholars are numerous who would dispute this notion that Western Civ is based on Judeo Christian values.
I don't know how true it is, but, I know that it is irrelevant because "Western Civilization" is being transformed before our very eyes and, whatever it used to be, will never be again.

I’m religious, seems fine with me. I don’t push it on others like technically I’m supposed to. Other than occasionally on here I actually very seldom talk about it. The answer to your question I guess depends on each individual

Yes because the Catholic church still feeds more hungry, clothes more in need, houses more homeless, and treats more sick on a daily basis than any other organization in the history of the world.
But keep on with you “religion is more harmful than good idea.

As we move into a more moral relativism mindset, people will suffer. History shows that. When I speak of moral relativism, I’m speaking about the people who say things like “my truth” and “your truth”. Of course, these idiots don’t understand that there is only the truth.

We keep looking for things to blame for all of our problems… The truth is that humans are just shite

ya if they just take all the rules and consequences out of religion like removing all behavior rules and guilt that would be a swell religion, we could call it the religion of doing whatever the frick you want with no guilt

You have to remember, those who aren't religious still base their beliefs (largely) on the foundations of our collective religion in Western Civilization.
As time progresses, the next generations will be more and more separated from that foundation, and we will see some wildly different values (think Communist/NAZI like beliefs of superiority, not helping the weak by finding cures, but euthanizing them for the sake of the collective)
