I use Regions as well. My reasoning is that they have the easiest parking lot to get out of.

I think they were just in LoserVille and had to do with Trust and Private Banking. Did they expand out of this area to other parts of the state?

I was with Twin Cities Savings bank in the 80s. They morphed or were bought out by Secor Savings bank. They were shut down by the feds. I think was when Regions bought them.

We had some smaller commercial bank customers in western Kentucky. They were served by bankers in Tennessee at the time I was there though. Part of my job was cost center maintenance for the groups I supported and we had a few odd ones like that where the center name was a region of a state or a small group of 2-3 cities in an area. But the banker tied to it was across the state line in the nearest larger city.

You should look up the Regions ESG report. I was appalled by it. Basically reads like a WEF manifesto.

Read ANY ESG reports from the larger banks...
It's scary AF!

TD is buying (or trying to) First Horizon a.k.a. IBERIABANK & they're the WORST!

They publicly state how anti- fossil fuel they are.

That's going to really sit well with their Louisiana and Texas O&G customers and markets...

No current info on Regions, but they have been a poor performer going back to the Amsouth days. Run for the benefit of senior management. Don’t understand why anyone would own that stock.

Time for the Texas and Louisiana O&G’s to form their own new bank.

They can build another Calcasieu Marine National Bank, they even can finally rebuild or renovate the Capital One Tower in Lake Chuck since a 3rd party owns the building, Hertz.

I liked Iberia, most people I know who used them liked First TN, but the combined bank already has gone way down hill and I’m already moving all my accounts, I refuse to deal with those POS Canadians.

Well their trading was halted today with other poor performers. You may be on to something.

As my investment buddy told me someone quoted “in times like this, we find out who is skinny-dipping when the tide goes out”…

They'll sell it if they already haven't. My mortgage has gone through several banks in the last few years.

They are busy putting the green bikes together so they can quickly evacuate when it goes down.

The legacy IBERIABANK folks were great, but once they started focusing on Florida and grew, they abandoned their Louisiana customers. You'd be crazy to stay with them at this point. I’m not sure what would be worse… If the T.D. deal goes through they'll be a horrible woke Canadian Bank. If the deal falls apart, which it probably will the First Horizon shell that’s left will suck even more because all of the good talent has left and they've gutted the good parts.

The TD Bank acquisition of First Horizon who acquired IberiaBank is an unmitigated disaster for Louisiana. TD will pull more jobs and departments out of Louisiana that First Horizon had left in place and will focus its business out of Louisiana.

Btw that pic is from the regions building Ft. Lauderdale, where they have no executives. Hell, I don’t even think they lease that floor, there are a dozen other tenants in that building

Regions has gone down in the past few years...lines backed up out the door on some days when 1 or 2 tellers are trying to hold down the fort.
And tellers are slow as hell!
