Zero is an empty circle, representing empty set
What’s in the circle?
Nothing.

A set that contains zero has something in it. An empty set has nothing in it.

Zero is a number....
nothing is not
nothing is not

No. A set which contains only zero has one member, zero. A set which contains no members is an empty or null set. You should have learned this in 9th grade algebra.

"The Producers" would have been a shitty movie without one of those.
I guess you could say it was "Saved By Zero".

My first calc teacher failed a guy on our first exam because he wrote all of his zeros with the line through them. He gave some excuse that that was how he wrote them in the military. Teacher didn't budge.
He dropped the class soon after.

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

Zero is a quantity of something. Nothing has no quantity.

No. Nothing is null. Zero is a real number. Mathematically they aren't the same thing.
Once we get the dummies around here understanding PEMDAS, we'll be tackling this mind-bender.

Things that's didn't happen for $1000, Alex.

The mathematic philosophy on zero is pretty interesting. Not all cultures even invented the concept of zero. Zero is a representation of nothing. From a technical angle, it's different, but only if you're bucking for an argument.
