government picking winners and losers

Since the government picked masks we are all the losers. Last 2 days have been the largest reported new cases since we started tracking and it comes when the affects of the masks should be showing. JBE has blood on his hands.

It’s a WH guideline

If JBE was following guidelines he wouldn’t have went 21 days between phases instead of 14

My anger is with JBE for closing businesses & leaving casinos open at a higher capacity than everyone else

I’m sure VP Pence & Dr. Birx would agree that if you have to start closing businesses again casinos need to be included

I’m not sure but I can tell you that Jeff Landry is on the local radio station and he speaking very very well. He’s bringing up lots of questions and points about the whole situation.

You may want to choose a new acronym. WH is already taken by Waffle House.

They would close casinos but they really don’t want Texas to be motivated to legalize gambling. Lake Chuck and Shreveport would be headed for disaster.

This, plus add in all the protest. As long as this type of pandering to one side is happening, and the other is at least half way trying to comply, it just makes all of our elected officials look like the scum they are.

Casinos are a weird one, because their capacity based on gambling seats is dramatically less than their capacity based on square footage. So I understand why they are using total capacity here.

But... a lot of other types of businesses could make the same argument, and received the same treatment.

Have you seen his response to JBE's rebuttal of his initial comments on the mask mandate?

A buddy and I went to L'Auberge after they reopened. I like to play Mississippi Stud, but the table was closed. It's not completely unusual, sometimes they open those tables later once there is a bigger crowd. After an hour or so of playing blackjack, my buddy asked the dealer when the stud table might open. The dealer said it wasn't going to open because it was a table game where the players had to touch the cards, and they didn't want people touching the cards and spreading the virus. My buddy responded, "so I can sit here and finger frick these chips and lay cash on the table for you to grab and that doesn't spread the virus, but me holding 2 cards in my hand is a death sentence?" The dealer could only respond with, "hey man, I don't make the rules, I just have to follow them." THAT'S how arbitrary this shite is.

I know right? He was talking about how things need to be evaluated, NOT just "oh cases!" and talked about bed space is available and I can't even remember what else but I did wonder if he was reading this board.

I had a friend that had to return an item to a store in Lafayette. She told me that she put the item on the counter and then the clerk said "can you please turn the tag over so that I can scan it". So my friend did. Then she (the clerk) asked her to pick up the item and walk around the counter to place it in the return bin. The clerk NEVER touched the item.

I asked my friend how she got her credit and she looked at me funny and said "well back on my card". I asked if there were any measures taken to "protect" the card machine and then she got the point I was making.
