I could have moved to any rural area in the country and probably been fine. But so many of friends and family are still here and I wouldn't trade that for anything

Life is often better once you escape LA. Few actually leave, even fewer come back. There’s a reason for that.

You could just say you hate black people.

It used to be true.

Funny thing is this all changed when the kids started going to school and stopped working and speaking cajun french. Stopped learning to live off the land and moved away.

I love the Louisiana that I grew up in during the 1980’s, and early 1990’s.

It was amazing.

Other states do have plenty of fat people. Most do not have as many as Louisiana. Those are just facts.

Does this really affect you in any way? I can’t think of one time I thought I was surrounded by too many fat people.

No place like it, only people in the country that can pronounce my last name (as I am sure is the case with many of you), didn’t realize how much of an impact that had on me until I moved and felt like an outsider. Couldn’t get me out of Louisiana again for anything, these are my people and I AINT frickING LEAVING

I think it almost every day. It’s disgusting.

That’s kind of odd lol. For one if I see someone like that it’s not really my business. For two I don’t see nearly enough even if it did affect me. Maybe I’m just in a fit part of Louisiana.

Everytime I have to go to the grocery store or talk to a medical receptionist who seems like someone pissed in her cereal, it seems like the latter.

I think people who complain about this all the time, where everyone is talking to them like someone pissed in their cereal, the problem might not always be the other person.

And that is a little different in La. If you go to other places, when you go to the grocery store or wherever, you are the customer, they are the cashier, they do their part. Everyone on their way, but you can get one of two responses from people. They will either treat you like shite or they will go out of their way for you, depending on how you treat them. Looking someone in the eyes and a simple "yes ma'am" or "no ma'am" goes a long way.

Don't give people a reason to be an a-hole to you. You do that and they are likely to go beyond for you.
