If true, then this certainly isn’t anything ‘new’.. matter of fact, it’s closer to how things have ttraditionally been over the last 100+ yrs.... when i attended LSU in the early 90s, i’m pretty sure the admissions policy was open, or close to it.. from what i remember,. i got in with, i think a 2.5 high school GPA (may have been a little lower actually) but i did well on the ACT, got a 26 (#humblebrag).. but honestly, i dont think it mattered, i’m pretty sure anyone who graduated high school and had the money, or took out a loan, could attend.

There is a reason they sat us down in the auditorium for freshman orientation the first day and said ‘Look at the person on your left’ .. ‘Now look at the person on your right’- only one of the three of you will be here next year.” The attrition level was crazy high.

Not a bad idea although LSUS could probably justify a few 4 year degree programs.

Correct. You'd keep some "core" 4 year programs that are beneficial to the area, but the idea is that they'd be an associates degree training ground for Main Campus.

Biggest issue in this was that LSU didn't have UNO in their system anymore. So there was no feeder program in South and East Louisiana to Baton Rouge...where the bulk of the campus population is located.

PSU system has a size and geographic proximity to all the major areas in the state.

Shut down all 4-year institutions except LSU, UNO, ULL and ULM.

Holy Shite. Holistic Admissions Policy

Do you want revenue sports or not?

If so, 40 time and vertical suddenly become holistic.

You bet. That BS in history is a sure fire way to pay pack a loan.
