This is the correct answer. I have multiple BMW's and they all have the CEL on. It's nothing but a dealer income generator.
On the other hand, if you have a misfire and you can't detect it, you deserve what comes your way.

Mine has been on for 3 years. Bad O2 sensor. Only way to get to it is to drop the engine.
