Nissan Altima for $24k, but the a/c has what-might-be a cigarette smell.

100% a nurse drove that car

You could always take up smoking, then you won’t notice

Clean the interior well including shampooing the upholstery and the carpet. Then run an Ozone Generator in it for about an hour with the vehicle running the AC on recirculate. Then turn the car off and run just the ozone generator in it overnight or up to 48 hours.

After that, crack the windows and let it air out as Ozone generation can aggravate any issues a vehicle occupant may have from COPD, asthma, etc. Only takes a few hours with the windows cracked.

Spray scented Lysol on the air intake under the wipers. Get it in there good. Let it sit then run the air. It may take several rounds.

Run an ozone generator in there and the smell will be gone.

OZIUM - I'd hot box my car everyday and before coming home, I'd spray it on the vents with the air off, and blast it at the second setting (don't do it too hard as it'll spew the shite right in your face), and the smell would go away. smells fresh

If there is visible yellow/amber tar stains inside, Scrubbing Bubbles will erase it in minutes.

Bleach is surprisingly ineffective and a complete waste of time.

I know it sounds weird but put a bag of cheap coffee (open) in the car. It absorbs smells. Worked great for my freezer after a hurricane and a rental car that smelled like smoke

Nope.

If you look underneath where the air intake is you'll find sticky arse dust that is laden with nicotine.

You have to get all that shite out.

Now an air ionizer can help but no.
