My handwriting is absolutely atrocious and I’m not a doctor. I seriously feel embarrassed any time someone has to see my writing. My kindergarten teacher would be so disappointed.

Any chance I can fix this at 33?

This about how much practice you did to get to where you are. It will take that much effort to change your natural writing style.

Yes. I worked at a pawn shop in college and had terrible handwriting when I started. Got promoted to being the “gun guy” and had to fill out a bunch of federal documents and had an ATF agent tell me that I had to write neater. So slowed down and took my time and now I have great penmanship.

Yes, I always had terrible handwriting and I still do if I write in my natural hurriedly style

Instead I started writing in print and press down hard and really try to form the letters correctly

Aspy even commented on my nice penmanship when I posted a pic of it recently

Mine has improved greatly over the years. I'm not great but it's definitely improved. Just focus on it some.

My writing has never been good but my drawing is identical from when I was a second grader. My stick figures suck

Mine went to shite big time. Been close to 10 years from the last time I had wrote something other then my name. It was real hard and painful to write a letter.

Why write anything by hand? Use Microsoft word.

Sketching, I suck at. I need to fix it.

Sure, it is. My handwriting changes for the worse every year. I don't write as much as when I was in school, taking notes all day and such. If you want better handwriting really that's the way to do it. Practice. At this point in my life I don't think it's worth the time investment though.

I'm 35 and every word I write still looks like an autograph.

Penmanship and especially cursive writing are going the way of the dinosaur is my observation. Lots of kids for the past 15 or more years are not taught cursive writing in schools and most of them grow up printing everything.

If you are serious about improving your penmanship, I recommend getting a calligraphy set and have fun with it. A decent one comes with the fountain pen, 3-4 different nibs and an instruction booklet for the "How To" of it.

Mine sucks, too. I can write neatly and in different ways but it's a waste of time.

I just print whenever possible. Far more useful.
