Is it just me or do way more people have bad breath these days?

It's like a pandemic of shitty breath lately. Cute girls in their 20s, pretty girls in their mid 30s, basically every man I ever encounter including gay dudes. Asians, black people, Indian people. Southern people, west coast people.
Last time I dated aggressively in 2014 essentially zero girls in their 20s or 30s had bad breath. Now it's 75%. All within the 6.5 to 8.0 range.
Am I going crazy? My only theory is that mask wearing maybe organically lessened some people's breath and oral cleanliness.
I hate this new trend.

People are legit probably not flossing/brushing enough. Been dealing with oral hygiene myself recently and always thought I was brushing around 2 minutes. Set a timer and was floored at how long it actually was.
Now trying to floss every day as well. I feel like I’ve seen a relative improvement right away. Hoping it has long term effects. I always thought gingivitis was painful and I’d know but I believe in most cases it really isn’t.
I bet a lot of people have gingivitis.

I was legit told by a doctor that American women under 30 have nutritional deficiencies that cause bad breath. They love Starbucks but consume literally zero potassium.

Remember the brush/floss/mouthwash thread a few months ago? The general public does a brush every third day or so. It's gross.

Why you getting close enough to gay dudes to smell their breath?

IME it did the opposite. Wearing a mask on occasion is what got me back in the habit of religiously brushing and flossing mid-day at work. I was reminded my breath wasn't as minty fresh as I thought it was. I mentioned it to my wife and she said no shite why do you think I brush 4-5 times a day (she wears a mask routinely for work).

Personal hygiene has gone downhill since the pandemic.
That mustache girl from Amazon was one of the signs. People celebrated that nastiness.

The one good thing about the masks is it killed smelling peoples breath.

Work from home era. Apparently it’s too hard to get up, brush teeth, shower, and look presentable.
Something that used to be part of a grown man’s day has become a chore. Men that work from home should castrate themselves.

Get a Sonicare. They are programmed to brush for 2 minutes and signal after 30 seconds so you can evenly distribute your time to each quarter of your mouth.
And get a Waterpik. I was amazed at the pieces of food that came out after a 2 minute brush.

I agree. I try not to get close to people when they’re talking. Some people’s breath is gag-worthy. I think it has a lot to do with all the unnatural garbage that people eat.
Brushing once every three days…yuk. I don’t care if she is 1990’s Salma Hayek hot; with hygiene habits like that, she’d be gone.

I don't hear very well in noisy environments so that means leaning closer to both men and women in all settings (work, dates, conventions, cocktail hours, etc). In my past experience gay men and women almost always had great breath and smelled fantastic. Not the case anymore.

Could be all the keto diets too…
*cough* bullshite *cough*
But it could be that you need to try a fatty… just to rule keto out, see if those 5.5’s are minty fresh!

If you’re smelling it that frequently, the odor is your own.

Yeah waterpiks are absolutely essential. And gum! Why does nobody chew gum anymore? It's fantastic for your facial features as well as your breath
