Coke tastes better in a glass bottles. Mexican Cokes almost frozen is the ultimate. Mexican Cokes are the pre 1985 Cokes. 1985 they made New Coke and when they switched back they changed from cane syrup to corn syrup.

It depends on the beverage. Milk tastes better out of metal cups but soft drinks taste better out of glass bottles (especially after being chilled in them).

We had those exact same aluminum tumblers.

The best cokes were the small bottles that came from local bottlers. When I first started practicing law, I represented quite a few local Coca-Cola bottlers on their employment law stuff. Sadly, every one of them is now gone.
The soft drinks that weren't shipped around and/or stored hot were much better.

I was really thinking about milk, but Ice water out of a metal cup is great too.
