holy frick! Stock the bar party? Babymoons, gender reveal parties. Push Presents.....WTF is wrong with you people?
Posted on 7/2/15 at 2:10 pm to mizzoukills
House warming parties are fricking stupid. I don't ask my friends to buy me shite I can afford and they don't ask me. Works out well.

If you're too poor to buy your own alcohol, don't find an excuse to make your friends do it for you.
Nobody likes that guy.

The difference is that in the new house we have 3 wet bars versus one.
I didn't realize that they make triple wides.

This is right up there with a "gender reveal" party or what the frick ever they call it when you announce the gender of your unborn.
Man, wtf is wrong with people? Just have a party, any decent guest will bring a bottle of wine or something anyway, you know...because they have class.

"Hey guys. Just bought a new house. Why don't y'all come over, drink, and see the new place?"

"Hey guys. Just bought a new house. Why don't y'all come over, drink, and see the new place? Oh, but it's your responsibility to bring a bottle of alcohol with the expressed purpose of using it to stock my bar. And you should also probably bring something for you to drink while you're at it."

A girl I used to work with threw one of these when she moved into her new apartment.
She's trash.

I have a co-worker that threw himself a house warming party. Two months later threw himself a gender reveal party. Too bad they already had three kids between them from prior marriages. Love getting presents I guess.

Precisely, I'd never do number 2, but I'd definitely do number 1.

I think you all fail to realize that 1) I'm not a fan of these parties, and 2) other people want us to host the party.
And yes...our double wide has 3 wet bars. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Did one of these for a buddy of mine, never have heard of it before
It was a pretty fun night. I don't miss the 20-30 bucks I spent on a bottle of alcohol. I would only do it for a close friend of mine

If that's something you and your friends like to do, then do it dammit! Why ask what the OT dickheads think?
I've never heard if this practice though

Then just have people over. If they decide out of the goodness of their heart to give you a bottle of alcohol, that's their call.
But I doubt all your friends are just dying to go out and get that watermelon vodka you've had your heart set on just because you put your shite in boxes and brought it to a different location.

Upon first reading I was thinking, "Ok, so what sex did your co-worker reveal they were?" Then realized you were talking about they were having a party to reveal the sex of their expected baby.
It's confusing living in these Caitlyn Jenner times.

If you can buy a house, you can buy your own fricking alcohol.

Another example of Missouri isn't in the south.
