That’s a really good way to get them dislike you. The only acceptable time to make a team run over free throws is if they weren’t puting forth enough effort to get to the line, imo

It sounds like you didn’t prepare them well enough. This is on you.

Nah, I just realized he said junior-high. His job is to sell them to recruiters. let their AAU coaches deal with their skills.

Well, apparently Tua's dad beat him over throwing a pic, and he turned out well.

you are comparing me, someone who is employed to coach teenagers basketball, to a 3rd grade pee wee team. That's rich
I mean, it's really not that far off to be honest. Are you a real coach/teacher or just a step up from being a church volunteer doing it in a city league? Either way, big fricking shite.

ETA: Get over yourself and can the hardass coach routine. You're going to end up making it miserable and pushing some kids away from wanting to play basketball, rather than what your intentions are, Coach K.

I had two coaches in high school, the 2nd coach would put us through practice then make us run quite a few times suicides at the end. He would then pick someone to shoot two free throws, if they made both practice was over, if they missed we would run until someone did. He also conveniently would always pick the worst free throw shooters.

I suggest you waterboard those children until they respect you.
