Seems that way.

Used to be a requirement to smoke during, but you goddamn liberals won't let anyone smoke in the WaHo anymore.

I usually just roll in piss drunk and pass out in my western omelet until the employees make me go outside.

people who use tobacco use it after every meal, one of the best times.
So, yeah I imagine smokers will smoke after WH.

Does that not apply to every restaurant?

There are still a few I've been to that allow it, although they are mostly bars/clubs that serve food.
I think a lot of it is due to corporate policy and not local statutes.

It's a requirement to have a blood alcohol level of at least .16 before eating waffle house.

The Mrs. and I have a theory.
We don't think the waffles taste as good since they outlawed smoking inside.
We believe the waffle batter was formulated especially to interact with second hand smoke. Now they seem to have lost "it".
Can anyone out there confirm our observations?

I remember smoking in Waffle House on college drive as late as '05. They had two booths on one side of the restaurant for smoking, so I'm not sure why all the do-gooders were complaining

I miss the smokey flavor of my scattered, covered, and chunked hashbrowns.

Do they open before 2am?

You don't get to be all goddamned uppity when you're eating at the Waffle House. Everyone is equal at Waffle House.

Waffle House is timeless, like the Walmarks.
I can't help but feel a deep, deep pity for every toothless, meth-gummed employee who begrudgingly serves me an All-Star Special. This pity is exponentially increased for those in college towns. How anyone works at the WH on the Tuscaloosa Strip is beyond me.
