Is it a good idea to carry Narcan if Fentanyl is really this bad?

I don't expect to intentionally ingest any pills or powder but I keep reading people are overdosing just for coming into contact.
The other day I stopped to use the bathroom at a Racetrak and noticed a white line left behind on the toilet paper dispenser. While likely just forgotten coke or meth. It would suck to accidently touch something then overdose and everyone think your some fentanyl junkie.
Though carrying narcan would look bad too. I saw a video of them spraying it in a junkies nose and they popped right out of an OD.

I mean shite, if it's really that bad and that cheap, will you start seeing dusting like they do in south america. Where someone blows a powder in your face to drug you?

Then on the flip side the skeptic in me doesn't really believe you can OD just from touching the stuff. Though THE nopd had three officers hospitalized recently for just that.

That will probably be the next Tic-Toc challenge. Running up to people and rubbing or blowing Fentanyl on them. Watch your back.

That's my first gut thought. It really is.

But.

Contact high from fentanyl coming from the police is a psy-op. They are either trying to cover for cops who use drugs or it's just a scare tactic

Someone told me it's from officers who taste sample the drugs. Coke and heroin and meth all have obvious tastes and is a quick test old timers used to do that they are not supposed to do anymore.

I'd just like my fentanyl prescription to be filled in a consistently timely basis for a change. Still waiting on Walgreens to fill mine from 1/25/23 due to not receiving their restocking orders since before year's end.

My pain gets bad I may have to find a street dealer till my next Dr.'s visit eom to switch to dilaudid or something.

I carry 2 fire extinguishers and a fire stop ball in my truck. Not so much in case I need them, but you never know what's gonna happen. Better to be prepared.

If Narcan is easy to get and store, seems like a no brainer to have one on hand, kind of like an Epipen.

Better to have it and NEVER need it than to NEED one, for whatever reason, and not have it.

I see you are catching a lot of grief for this idea but it's not a bad one.

Anyone that has high school-aged kids that have friends hanging out doing God knows what.

If someone in your home start showing signs of fentanyl reaction you could save their life.

Narcan is easily obtainable and can be very cheap insurance against a terrible accident.

I know asking for Narcan is embarrassing. I know most wouldn't consider. Fentanyl is a huge problem though.

Most of us here carry guns we hope to never use. We carry just in case that one day we may need it to save our lives or the lives of others. I see this in a similar way. I would hope to never ever have to use it. But it's there if it's needed.

It's just every day I read about more and more Fentanyl deaths.
I don't mind catching grief for asking opinions of others. I'm genuinely curious.

That says they didn't overdose. It doesn't even say if they showed any symptoms.
