I know you are getting a lot of down votes but you are correct.

Whole Foods, like most companies, do research to locate in desirable neighborhoods.

Whole Foods does open in poor neighborhoods but that is more of a PR move because they are run by goofy liberals and it makes them feel good.

They do a very thorough demographic study before opening a location and it involves profiles on household income which I think needs to be north of 150,000/year

I sid like a store in California called Bristol Farms. Great meat, king crab legs, scallops, etc.

Now I think the closest Whole Foods is over an hour away and it's nothing but weird hipster stuff. I butcher my own beef anyway and age it how I want.
