Vegan is worse on the environment, and get off your high horse - monocrops kill thousands of "conscious souls."

Have you ever been in a soy/corn/wheat field after the machinery has come through? Why do you think the buzzards come around? Fawns, rabbits, mice, thousands of insects - they all die and feed no one. Not to mention the wildlife displaced and/or killed by the toxic chemicals.

When I buy a cow - I kill one "soul" and eat for months. And that animal, when raised well and grazed, actually creates a net positive for the environment - building soil quality and supporting grass.

Vegans live in this fantasy land about their industrial food system. At least meat-eaters acknowledge their prey.

Yep. My gf was about to throw some meat away when we first started dating. I told her she was disrespecting that animal and should at least take it home for the dog. She hasn’t done it since.

Our entire society and laws are based on going against our biological evolution. But our intellectual evolution is why we can have this debate on a chat board.....and yea, I know the theory that eating meat allowed our brain to evolve. With that said, I believe the best diet is high in fruits, veggies with a once or twice a week wild game meat/fish intake.

We both know it was a dude. No need to be in the closet on a message board.

Do you have to put a cork on your fork like Ruprict? I can't imagine being so stupid that I place human characteristics upon animals and think they have any business other than serving mankind.

Why do people keep putting words over that image that aren't what he said?

That's the "bring me all the bacon and eggs you have" scene.

Seriously, we could all probably cut down on meat/dairy consumption, as people are falsely taught you need it for protein (beans/vegetables/nuts provide all you need). But to completely give it up? No, humans evolved eating it.

Tool- Disgustipated

And the angel of the Lord came unto me,
Snatching me up from my
Place of slumber,
And took me on high,
And higher still until we
Moved in the spaces betwixt the air itself.
And he bore me unto a
Vast farmland of our own midwest,
And as we descended cries of
Impending doom rose from the soil.
One thousand, nay, a million
Voices full of fear.
And terror possessed me then.
And I begged,

"Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?"
And the angel said unto me,
"These are the cries of the carrots,
The cries of the carrots.
You see, reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest day
And to them it is the holocaust. "
And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat
Like the tears of one millions terrified brothers
And roared,
"Hear me now,
I have seen the light,
They have a consciousness,
They have a life,
They have a soul.
Damn you!
Let the rabbits wear glasses,
Save our brothers... Can I get an amen?
Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you, Jesus.

Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on...
This is necessary

It was daylight when you woke up in your ditch.
You looked up at your sky.
That made blue be your color.
You had your knife with you there too.
When you stood up there was goo all over your clothes.
Your hands were sticky.
You wiped them on your grass,
So now your color was green.
Oh Lord, why did everything always have
To keep changing like this?
You were already getting nervous again.
Your head hurt and it rang when you stood up.
Your head was almost empty.
It always hurt you when you woke up like this.
You crawled up out of your ditch unto your gravel road
And you began to walk
And waited for the rest of your mind to come back to you.
You could see the car parked far down the road
And you walked toward it.
If God is our father, you thought,
Then Satan must be our cousin.
Why didn't anyone else understand these important things?
When you got to your car,
You tried all the doors,
But they were locked.
It was a red car and it was new.
There was an expensive leather camera case lying on the seat.
Out across your field
You could see two tiny people walking by your woods.
You began to walk towards them.
Now red was your color and of course,
Those little people out there were yours too.

You vegans need to read these brilliant words from TOOL.

Edited. The post above had the exact same thought.

The only reason animals exist is so other animals can eat them.

I'm all for more and more vegans. It might just lower crawfish prices a bit.

Lettuce $20 a pound and beef tenderloin for $3 a pound. Sounds like a win win for me.

Growing meat takes a lot more water than growing vegetables

Water evaporates and comes down as rain over and over, no matter what your "green friends tell you"

It leads to more carbon emissions etc

Which the plants really enjoy.

If you are really concerned, you could end it now and really reduce your carbon footprint.

The human digestive system was not designed to process raw meat, and there is also the danger of pathogens that can exist in raw meat, yet man existed for thousands of years before the earliest evidence of man using fire to "cook' meat, what were they eating?

9 times out of ten, you contract food poisoning from raw vegetables.

Both commercial industries have huge environmental impacts.
