I've been party to shooting a nuisance gator on private land and been ticketed. So, no, you can't.

If people didn't act like assholes and abuse nature, there would not be need for game wardens.

Not sure why you are being downvoted, because it's the truth.
If grandpappy and all his buddies didn't shoot every deer, duck, and turkey in sight in the early 20th century, we wouldn't have the laws and system we have today.

They can’t come through our locked gate into our private property. It’s none of their fricking business what we hunt on our private land.
Unfortunately you could not be more wrong and it is established case law although it is old case law that really needs to be challenged.

We been working on a camp only accessible by boat out around Fausse Point. Just finished a long day of work and was headed back to the state park to trailer the boat and head home. Saw a couple of boats on the bank not close to any camps or anything. I told my buddy, bet that's them green jeans. Sure enough he saw us and started waving his hands to slow down. We weren't in any mood to be messed with, we were both tired and was just ready to get back to the launch. They met us in the middle of the canal and started asking all the same questions..... He went thru my entire boat. Life jackets, fire extinguisher, horn, etc. We had piles of tools, generator, some pieces of cut wood in the boat, both of us was covered in saw dust..... Then this fool wants to start talking to us, "yall doing some construction?" "Nah we like to carry this shite around every time we are in the boat!" Then one of them asks if we had been drinking, I looked at him and said "not F*%$ing yet". (neither of us had a drop) He could see we were tired as shite, why hold us up like that? I was so aggravated. Anyways after what felt like 30 minutes he told us to have a good day.

Damn near every country boy wanted to be one. Damn near impossible to become one without an "in."
May be a nice gig...I don't know.
What I do know is that your essentially and a-hole fish police officer that can do whatever the frick you want whenever the frick you want.
Basically you wander around until you find the right spot to be an a-hole.

I gave been told that Game wardens have WAY more leeway to enforce game and fish laws than police do to enforce laws in general. I don't know if this is true. It is generally a violation of the 4th amendment for a policeman to ask for ID if they can not articulate what crime they are investigating. The bar ain't high as reasonable suspicion of almost anything clears the way but game warderns apparently have no such requirement because they ask for hunting/fishing licenses which contain identifying information when the have no suspicion of a crime or an reasonable cause to be asking for ID. It happens so regularly it'd be hard to imagine it not being challenged at some point.
Federal game wardens are worse than state game wardens and most state wardens make the worst cop on any force look like a Sunday school teacher. I have seen this from Florida to Washington and in Canada, Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. I think they recruit game wardens from police academies and look for the assholes in every class. I usually never have an issue with a game warden to speak of but almost everyone of them act as if you are a serial killer when you are fishing with your kid. I had one almost sink my boat once because he did not know how to handle a boat in a current, had one pull a gun on me because he had written me a ticket 2 weeks prior that was dismissed by a judge, I am regularly checked multiple times a day by the same wardens in the same area simply because they have nothing better to do and I have had it happen everywhere I have ever hunted or fished. It has gotten far worse over the last 10 years or so. I don't know if they have more leeway than cops but they certainly take more leeway.

Yep, I don't know if this guy is just BSing, but if you're on private property fishing in your own pond, they have no right to ask.
This is true in Georgia but if you do not have the deed to the place they will write you....I know for a fact. Happened to my uncle. Fishing his own pond in Elbert County, Georgia. Game warden approaches, asks for a fishing license, uncle told him he owned the property, warden asked for ID, ID had the actual address, not the address of the property, and ticket was issued and he was told to leave. After some arguing he did just that because the warden was armed and acting a fool. Went to the judge, judge threw it out but told him he should just but a license and it wouldn't be a problem. You can't just comply you have to be willing to have your rights violated anytime you deal with LEO of any sort and hope it works out in the end with nothing more than some elected official or judge giving you a speech about how you ought to behave.
That same warden came on that same property last dove season and spent nearly 2 hours checking 6 people. Checked vehicles, coolers, plugs, licenses, drivers licenses (called them in)..and again told my uncle that he should get his address corrected on his drivers license.

I had a federal game warden in Texas ask me if an Over/Under was plugged...I thought he was joking, he was dead serious. He didn't mention it when I said "is an over/under....". He had to have know it was because as he approached I broke it open, removed the shells and had it across my chest as he asked about the plug.

It's no different than requiring a driver's license on the street. A cop can ask for that when he pulls you over.
Only if he can articulate what crime it is he is investigating and has reasonable suspicion of a crime. Not a very high bar but game wardens are not limited by that, apparently, because fishing is not a crime and they have no reasonable suspicion to suspect everyone of committing a crime yet they will always ask everyone for a license, and usually a drivers license to prove residency.

Wealth and power are not indicative of a propensity to adhere to game laws. Some of the worst violations of game laws in the US every year are committed by people with a lot of money who are well connected politically. Anyone who has had the good fortune to hunt some really good private waterfowl habitat has most likely met some of the worst poachers in the nation...who never get checked by the man because the judges and DAs either hunt the place or hope to someday. I have personally witnessed this in Arkansas, Texas, California, South Carolina and Washington. I am pretty handy with a duck call and used to run in that circle....I have been on some of the most exclusive waterfowl clubs in the US and Canada and every one of them had more illegal stuff going on which was known to everyone than anything I have ever seen on public land. Those clubs are NEVER checked. The boat ramp at the Bayou Meto??? Good luck....

Harass me while I’m breaking no laws and acting all buddy buddy as they try and find some bull shite to charge or ticket me with. Not sure why we allow this as Americans.
They’re worse than cops. At least they have to make up a reason to pull you over
Generally you won't have to worry about them acting buddy buddy, they usually make the worst cop ever seem like a nice guy. Feds are infinitely worse than state game wardens...
