Yes and I don't see how it is limiting besides when you are on an airplane or in the backseat of a car.

My brother is 6'4". I'm 5'9". A genetic compromise would have been fair IMO.

Well my main two hobbies are surfing and playing soccer. Both become very difficult to do if you're 6'5". Really if you're over 6'2" it's a pretty big hindrance in both, especially surfing.

Ya I have tried surfing and I suck at it, same with water skiing. Being tall is better for real sports though.

Nah. It's not always better for football, soccer, or basketball.

I wouldn't want to be taller than 5'11" or so, though.

Oh c'mon! This reminds me of the fat rednecks in high school that would always claim they would rather be fat than skinny.

Theres a pirate series on starz I like and one of the captains is real short. hes always banging the hot main female and they try and make him out as a real badass. it really irritates me and makes the story unbelievable in my mind

Read above. I already explained why.

I'm average height but it's never hurt me with women or anything. Dated women from 5' up to 6'. I can see how being like 5'6" or less would be a PITA though.

My dad is also 5'9" but, then again, so is my mom. I did a bit better on the athleticism though. Doesn't do me much good now though so I'd rather have the height I guess.

Man, with your height and expansive vocabulary you are so much smarter than us dumb hobbits. I bet you feel so good about yourself. Too bad none of your friends really like you.

Not prejudiced in the least. Some of the greatest people in history were short.

I'm 5'8", which is within the margin of error for "average height," but you would be amazed how many people categorize that as "short."

I've never felt "short" before. I've never felt as though I didn't fit in or I was less capable because of my height.

The only real negative bias I've ever seen are from women who won't date below the 5'10" line. THAT is a real thing, and it's pretty common, from my experience. The sad thing is that I have a preference for taller women, and they just won't go for a shorter guy (unless I start flashing my OT baller money, which of course, I try to keep under wraps until date #3). The thing that kills me are women 5'5" and under who won't date someone 5'8" because they are too short. WTF?

Anyhow, never saw a negative stereotype from men regarding my height. All they care about is whether can I do what they do. If so, who gives a frick?

Surfing yes.

Soccer? Please, some of the best strikers are 6'3-6'4. Goalies are tall as well.

An abomination. Every time you can't ride a roller-coaster, baby Jesus cries.

Well there's your problem, rehab is for quitters. Quitting is something short guys just don't do. Us against the world.
