Its at least $130 to $150.

Same here. They get you in on low intro offers and steadily increase all the fees. I've monitored this on my monthly statements.

Yup. I'm cancelling DTV in June after contract runs out. I will just use streaming services and find a way to watch live sporting events that cannot be streamed.

Direct TV is in bed with AT&T now so you know they're in the business of f*cking people.

time to look at cord cutting alternatives.

go home.

write down the realistic tv channels you watch regularly or cannot live without. now, ask the family or wife to do the same.now. go look at the sling or psvue (better) package options. does it have everything you need minus the locals?

if so, head on over to the Tech Board. They can guide you from there on setting up HD antennas for locals, weigh the Sling vs PSVue options, and if you really want it all and are willing to put in the work, help you setup Kodi.

Yes.

I switched to Sling TV and I'm about to switch to Direct TV Go for streaming only.

Use Cox for internet only.

Got tired of that bill getting jacked up for no reason at all each month.

Ask your friends if they want to bum your password (and use with Apple TV, etc). Charge them like $10/month to share your password.

Change your password like every other month to keep non-payers pissed.

people will tell you that you can install this add-on or that add-on to give you TV streams. But that shite isn't reliable and is a giant pain in the arse. KODI is best used to watch tv series and movies. Not stream live television. For live television you need a Sling, PSVue, or whatever that crap DirectTV offers.

When you cancel DTV make sure they send you enough boxes to return the receivers. They sent me one box and said they only wanted one receiver back. Next thing I know DTV has charged my bank account $300, money taken out without me knowing anything about the transaction. It was for late fees on the receiver they didn't want back. After a month I got all the money back. This was just the tip of the iceberg, just be careful.

only time my went out was when it was covered with 3+" of snow.

I would just pee on it to clear it off.
