Grand Cinema is the only theatre I will go to in BR. It is great especially at about 330-4 during week right after work.
Sometimes I park my car far off to the right in that lot and take a little snooze on my lunch break.
I've always wanted to just ditch work and see a movie because no one is there at that time.

Central is probably the most convenient to people who work in downtown, Dow, or Port Allen.
I will say that I never dealt with traffic living there. LSU to Government to interstate in the afternoons. Once you hit the interstate right there coming from Government, the traffic is gone.
My worst commute, traffic wise, was living in Denham.

I could see that. I'll NEVER live in Denham if my work is on the West side of the Amite, and definitely not if it's even remotely close to the Mississippi

It really is a great place to catch a movie early afternoon if you can. I saw Hunger Games the Monday after it came out at about 3:45 and was only one in the theatre. I think they still do 9am movies sometimes too and they updated screens recently as well.

But please tell me more about your DR Horton paradise in the LP along with your two hour daily commute.

It is north-west of the corner of Acadian and Government.

I just bought for $250k. I didn't think that was expensive for a double-income family. 10 minute commute is FANTASTIC
