Late one night, I took a wrong turn and ended up on Grambling's campus.
Thought for sure that I was one dead cracka.
More than a few white people go to Grambling, especially nursing school.

Not single. No kids yet. How’s the crime around there? Any traffic? Would commuting from Bossier City be bad?

Not sure. I don't spend much time across the river, but people who live there have nothing but good things to say.
And NW>>>>>>>>> NE
And NW>>>>>>>>> NE

Traffic is usually only a problem when a combine is on the road going to the next field.
I don’t have stats but I always feel pretty safe up there. There are suspect areas in every town but you pick up on those real fast.
If you move there and want to make friends and put down roots, join Rotary, Kiwanis and or the Masons. Pick a church too.
After your family reaches the third generation in the town, they’ll be considered a local. So be prepared to play the long game.

There's probably more great restaurants and bars within 20 miles of Boutte than there is within the entire Shreveport Metro area
N LA concedes the food argument

Outdoor activities in NWLA are better too huh? There’s some hills and lakes instead of just flatness.

If you’re going to move out of S. LA, why not actually move somewhere nice? Somewhere with elevation?

Having a house on the water will greatly add to your quality of life, up there.

I've never heard of anything of real note go on there so I'm assuming not bad.

To or from? Either way isn't bad, but if you're working in Bossier I'd rather live there personally, but that's just personal preference.

Catholics are a distinct minority in N. La., and know their place.

There might be a opportunity in Haughton that’s why I’m curious. Baton Rouge is not a long term place for me.

Cant speak much to that either... I don't hunt, and when I fish it's on the families private land. But if the rest of the area is like that land, it's not half bad!

The hills will go from Shreveport to Ruston, fishing is pretty much the same all across north La. There is good hunting all over but bigger deer killed in NE part around Tensas. You’ve got lakes and bayous all across north La.

I know. N. LA is basically West Mississippi.
You really meant West Alabama since Alabama has built a fence around most of the football talent up here but that shouldn't pizz the LSU fans off that bad since we don't really exist up here.

Less white trash in North La.
