Didn't i just tell you we weren't in a teaching environment?
The argument was taken seriously by both sides. It wasn't teacher talking to student
You know little to nothing about the actual situation so your argument really has no ground in the first place
Thanks for playing though

Teachers are teachers 24/7 now?
Just wow. You absolutely have no idea how my school faculty operates. I guess that's how they do it in whatever school district your son is in. Coddle their students
No wonder your son is a dipshit

Some one needs to let a few posters know if it is. They'll argue the stupidest shite for hours on here

Just curious, as she asked, how old are you?
Ill guess 17 or maybe 18, probably a freshmen in college taking his first big boy intro business class or philosophy.

If you argue instead of debate, and then piss people off, you already lost. If you think you're always right, then you're already wrong. Dunning-Kruger effect.
Sounds like you're just an a-hole and people don't have the energy or interest in engaging with you.

Sounds to me like you were winning the argument. It's always smart to try and get under their skin like this.
The other day I was arguing with a coworker about trickle down economics, he just couldn't wrap his head around why I was right so I reminded him that his mother was still dead and she wasn't coming back. I won that debate pretty soundly.

I either get called narcissistic or chastised for arguing with peers.
Sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it, sometimes the truth hurts, but when people call you out on your arguing so often you have to post about it on TD, it's a safe bet that you're just an a-hole. Whether you're right or not doesn't matter if you have no tact.

I can't think of a time when society has been more argumentative than it has been now. We love a good argument, we just go to more extreme arguments to support our points.
Agreed. It feels like people actually argue about stupid stuff more and more nowadays, especially with the advent in the internet, social media and message boards.

You have some serious growing up to do, kid. You have to give respect to get respect; this is the problem with today's generation.
One day someone will put you in your place. If you came at me with some of this BS irl, I certainly would. I don't give a frick how "right" you think you are. If you come at me with a "mightier than God" attitude, all you will get is bigarse

Bumped. The 3:00 bell is going to sound soon! Can't wait to hear about the arguments he has had with his ivy-league teachers today

"More worse" is grammatically incorrect, brainiac. Worse will suffice.

I remember back in high school when I thought I was hot shite. Won a constitutional debate with a Ph.D. poli sci teacher's aide, and got our class an optional final exam.
The thing is, even though I was (and still am very intelligent) I was a self-righteous a-hole. It took working on a Ph.D. in chemical engineering before I realized that people and relationships are more important than being right all the time.
If you're half as smart as you think you are, you'll recognize that there's a lot of experience and life lessons being offered to you in this thread. If you want to turn that knowledge into a useful thing called wisdom, you'll heed that advice.
As the old saying goes, "Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing that it doesn't belong in a fruit salad."
Just my $0.02...
