You're likely thinking of the Base Set unlimited. Which, even "crumpled" and significantly damaged, would be worth at least $150. "Good shape" would be worth at least $500, "near mint" closer to $1k. At that point it's more about its grading potential, which involves things beyond condition like picture centering and sharpness of the corners.
A crumpled and damaged shadowless would still be worth several hundred dollars. Can we see a pic of what you got?

Ill get my hands on it this weekend. Its a circa 1998 ish??? year model, whatever that would be.
