It was bullshite from the beginning. Mostly Bitches that willingly submitted to powerful men to further their careers.
Delegitimized women that are actually sexually assaulted.
ETA: this doesn’t mean that bigwigs aren’t scumbags or people aren’t vulnerable to people in power, but the whole “movement” was based on something that was misrepresented

The people who cry the most loudly are usually the ones guilty.
