Has anyone ever done a study to see how many gay guys come from single mother homes? Not flaming just curious after some of the arguments here.

I just wish that the anti guy marriage people would just say what they really believe instead of trying to justify it with all these other easily debunked notions

just say "I'm a Christian and I believe that it is wrong and I want everyone to go by my religions rules"

We can take solace in the fact that sooner or later, it will be legal everywhere.

Support is somewhere around 75% or higher among the 18-30 age group. And old people are the only group that still has a majority opposing. They are fighting a losing battle.

but I'm willing to bet that the average gay couple would make better parents than the average hetero couple
Wow! That's a bold statement. Total bullshite backed up by zero evidence, but bold.

Weren't same sex marriage/unions/contracts not uncommon in Rome and Greece until the rise of Christianity?

No, actually they weren't. Male same sex relationships were not uncommon, but were actually more commonly grown men with prepubescent boys. The societies actually had quite the stigma against two grown men being involved with each other.

I can hear the pro-pedophile crowd now giving all their reasons why the people against these relationships were judging them and hateful. "How does my relationship affect them and their family"?

This stuff is nature not nurture. Hardwired into the brain.

Thinking about the gays that i know. They all come from two parent households, none raised by gays. Mind you, some parents got divorced, as mine did later in life, but initially they were raised by both parents.

I don't buy this for a second. Seen too many in my family and friends go one way or the other to think it is a certainty for anyone.

Yeah I was just curious if it had been any decent amount of data collected. I think you could find trends, without them being the main cause. Like attention whores, most I know have this trait. Some don't want attention about it and most claim to not, but it's quite easy to see in many I know and that's all I'm saying.

Queers are treated so badly by family, employers, classmates, etc., I just can't see why anyone would voluntarily choose that lifestyle.

the ones you have seen go back and forth are probably queer, just too had to live that way so they fake it for family/peer approval.

So are goths, geeks, and other social outcasts, are they born that way? Pedophiles too?

Nature not nurture is popular culture, but it is not supported by science. Keep on looking for that gene, you won't find it.

For the record: I'm against it all. I personally believe that "sexual preference" is a choice. Many studies have been done that show that factors in life lead to alternative sexual behavior.
I've known many bisexual or lesbian women who were abused by males in some form or fashion when they were younger.
Most bisexual or gay men I've met had no or a poor relationship with their fathers.

Did you really just try to use that as an argument in favor of "gay marriage"?
