My wife is a fat slob who's let herself go. I'd be in heaven with an open relationship vs divorcing her and losing all my stuff and kids. Only thing she'd be sleeping with is a gallon of ice cream.
You should tell her fat arse to lose some weight. Shell probably do it and respect you for it.

Open marriages are definitely better marriages. What man doesn't yearn for the day when Cleotis comes over to the house to ream out his wife?

Someone will frick her. I guarantee it.

I'm happier that my wife isn't having sex with other men. Other men may differ.

Tale as old as time,
True as it can be,
Barely even friends,
Then somebody bends,
Unexpectedly.
Indeed.
Yes, I know they aren't the same movie.

frick I would rather get a divorce than sit around at home with my wife out getting pounded. I might lose some money in a divorce, but dignity and freedom is worth more than my possessions.
Plus getting laid as a single guy at this point in life would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Don't listen to RedRocket's bullshite.
Thinking that it's absurd is all part of the marketing plan. The agenda isn't exactly a secret.
Frankfurt School: The Birth of Cultural Marxism
maybe I should have taken a play from their book and just used different terminology, "leftist" for "Marxist." It's the same thing, just like they have used the word "progressive" interchangeably with Marxist since at least the 1930's.

So these people basically just start dating someone else?
Maybe a few other people? I could never be okay with my wife sleeping with another guy, let alone start a whole relationship with another person. That's not called marriage, that is having a roommate with whom you may or may not sleep with occasionally. When you and your spouse are seeking not only sex but also companionship and support (i.e. a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend"), your marriage has utterly failed because that is what your spouse is supposed to provide for you. The only reason to carry on the relationship at that point is that it's been the norm for so long and you don't really despise the person you live with, although you don't really get much from or put much into that relationship. You're lying to yourself if you think your relationship still "works".
My wife doesn't want sex as much as I do. That's fine, I get it. We still have a very healthy sex life for a married couple in our 30's, but sure there are times where I jack it just relieve some pressure. I would NEVER say "Hey, I want sex everyday so we should see other people, too." I know for a fact that my wife could pull some dick whenever she wanted to, while I probably wouldn't get as much at home and I would probably have to wine and dine a girl to seal the deal outside if home which takes both time and money, so I will probably see a net negative. Think about being in a bar, a moderately attractive chick (say a 5.5 or 6) walks in and says "I want to frick, first guy to get into my car can come home with me." All of the single guys in that bar will be sprinting outside, and some of guys in relationships will, too. Now picture a dude of similar attractiveness doing the same thing. The only girls who would take him up on it either have a really bad "cold sore" on their lip or weigh enough to blow the shocks out on your truck. Dudes are hardwired for sex. We're wretched, horny creatures who will do most anything to get our dicks wet. Girls can chose to be more selective. Thems just the breaks.

No worries, I'm not. I read a lot of Marx, Benjamin, Adorno, Habermas, etc. (was in Literature in the mid 2000s, which was just past a high point for Marxist critique. The English Department on the College Campus usually carried the flag). You're spot on.
Rifle is probably thinking of "Marxist" as a purely political/economic construct, which is not the only incarnation, or that's not the only way to look at it (and not the only way it wants to be used either).

I don't see how a man could let another man frick his wife. I just can't comprehend that.

She told him, that night, that she was ready to give up the relationship with Joseph if Daniel could not make peace with it. “She was suddenly able to talk about it calmly, and kindly,” Daniel said. “Suddenly my needs mattered again.”
Holy shite!!!
Wife quits on sex. Husband brings up open marriage. Wife says no. Wife cheats on husband. Wife says she'll stop cheating if it'll make the husband happy.
Husband reads into all of that as his needs mattered again.

This is exactly how the movie "Hall Pass" with Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis plays out.

Yeah.....frick that noise. Guess I'm old fashion in that regard.
I get some things modern society is facing and adapting to, but this shite....no fricking way.
There are times divorce serves a purpose.
