There is a boilermaker supervisor where I work, a big cornfed redneck from Kentwood or somewhere up there. Always has a giant chaw in, never spits. Has a glorious handlebar mustache. And he's the bawest baw I ever met.

Most plants around BR you can't have a beard because SCBA will not seal properly with it.
