I always edge concrete, weedeat, trim with push mower, etc. before the final cut with riding mower. Makes a better looking finished product - all the trimmings from the concrete, fencing and trees gets chopped twice.

My Saturday morning rule is not to be the first guy on the block to start cutting. But somebody usually gets going by 8am.

9:00 if you know your neighbors don't wake up any earlier. 9:00 seems to be an accepted average hour in my neighborhood of caring individuals.

My Saturday morning rule is to always live in an apartment or condo where I don't have to do that.

Start as soon as the dew is dry. If no dew, then you're late.

6am is acceptable time to start yard work. Get your shite done in the yard then put something on the smoker and drink the rest of the day.

These threads never cease to amaze me.
Your "yard work" can start whenever you want it to. If it's 7am, then it's 7am.

Not a bad rule

Also, you weedeat before you mow?
I do. That way I can go over the longer clippings with the mower and mulch that up.

Daylight is official start time.

I'm trying to imagine a world without Cops, Bus drivers, Cab drivers, desk clerks, cashiers, bartenders, flight attendants, pilots and so on that don't work late for us.

No. It's not like it's 6 and people do yard work before it gets too hot. Rise and shine

Can you imagine a world where your typical person values their free time and doesn't want to spend it fricking around until they hit an arbitrary hour that somehow implies permission to start running their lawnmower?

Nobody said you have to ask permission, just a little consideration. After all, those mentioned workers are essential to the running of our modern society and I think their sleep is a little more important then the way my grass looks at 7 in the morn.

Kind of hard for this question to be answered considering those that would not want you yard working at 8am are probably asleep right now.
