Iron Butt Rally 2017

Anyone keep up with this? Riders left out of Minneapolis this morning.
11 day motorcycle rally competition. Riders end up doing more than 11000 miles to win normally. It's kind of a road routing nightmare scavenger hunt to score points by visiting certain locations in USA and sometimes Canada. Riders have gone all the way up into Alaska and back before. They do themes, one year was state capitals. This year looks to be some kind of roadside attraction theme by the logo design, it's kept secret until riders are on their way.
Always wanted to compete, have done a few shorter rallies. I think I've given up on any chance on doing it.

I love me a good extended long range cross-country ride. I prefer to take my time and enjoy the ride for the ride's sake. My ideal ride is something like going from Birmingham to Tucson on side roads.
