Except this didn't happen in February.

It happened on June 7, 2021. I'd expect the temperatures to be introduced along with the humidities for that day.

I do remember that one of the police at the crime scene notied that AM's white Tshirt showed no sweat but it was a hot and humid night.

They have to evacuate the building? (FitsNews just reported that it's because of a bomb threat.)

Also, I'm surprised the prosecution didn't focus more on the paralegal's comment that AM was nicer and not as hurried after the murders.

I’m sure it’s one of Alex’s cronies pulling a false flag to sway the jury, “see it’s one of Alex’s haters/stalkers!”

Or it's a move by a warped musician who is writing a musical or play about the trial and the break today will be the intermission on Broadway.

The trial was to resume at 2:30 pm

Interesting stuff that could be retrieved from Alex M's suburban, not where he was, but when the car was started, stopped etc.

quote:

The analysis showed that the vehicle's entertainment center became active around 9:04 p.m. on June 7, 2021, and the vehicle was cranked and taken out of gear around 9:06 p.m. - roughly 16 minutes after investigators believe Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were killed. The vehicle was placed in and out of gear several times between then and 10:05 p.m. The vehicle was placed in park at 9:22 and taken out of park at 9:43 - which could possibly be when Murdaugh said he visited his mother in Almeda.

Murdaugh called 911 at 10:07 p.m. to report finding the bodies.

quote:

Because the devices were encrypted, it took the FBI roughly a year to decode and analyze it. Not location data was salvageable, but call log data was available and Falkofske was able to determine when the vehicle was placed in and out of park, and other details of its movements.

That’s great information. The timestamps of the car being placed in and out of park definitely corroborate the witness testimony that he was at his mothers’ house for roughly 20 minutes.

Problem is they didn't actually subpoena this data from GM or Onstar they just had a guy write a script to try to make sense of the data themselves and validated it against a test vehicle that they drove to try to figure out what the data meant.

It makes no sense why they did not even try to subpoena that data.

If this was an insurance company fighting a claim, or a law firm suing for millions (like Alec did) you know they would get that information. Somehow this prosecutor's office couldn't get the info off the very exotic car that is the 2021 Chevy Suburban.

Would have been nice if the prosecution highlighted that. Even better if the housekeeper testimony was limited to the time of the visit and Alec's attempts to influence her. Instead they spent all the time on the blue tarp / poncho.

No, it doesn’t make sense at all. Especially when the location tracker is available for safety/onstar purposes

Yikes. Did they at least point out how unlikely it would be for Alex to take a nap, when he was clearly active around that time.
Or how unlikely it would be for a mystery killer to be involved and go undetected in such a small window of opportunity?

So Alex lied about not being down at the kennels (he was) and lied about taking a nap (he couldn’t have). His entire alibi(s) covering the time of the murders has been destroyed.

With the bomb threat hoax interruption, new testimony came from Alex Murdaugh's paralegal. This woman was trying (along with the firm's Chief Financial Officer) to find certain moneys that AM should have delivered to the firm. He told them, repeatedly, that they were held by another lawyer. And then THE check fell out of a file that AM had. The paralegal's daughter told her own mother that she needed to update her resume.

More Boring arse Financials...... ol DH is getting frustrated, and asking state to move on, and move quicker..... advised the judge that "this is a murder trial, and not a white collar financial trial".... to no avail. Still more of the same following his objections.

Out of all the financial testimonies, the Satterfield case shows how much a POS AM really is. The CFO shows how much he was deceitful covering up his stealing. Tinsley’s prove that AM was broke and it was about to leaked during the boat case hearing that was suppose to take place the following week before the murders.

The one interesting thing that will come up today is that Tinsley (attorney representing the family of the girl killed during the boating incident) donated $1000 to the gofundme that was set up for AM's mom's caregiver. The caregiver had testified that AM was only at the mom's house for 15-20 mins and then AM essentially instructed her to tell the cops it was 30-40 mins.

The defense wanted to throw out the caregiver's testimony since it appeared another witness (with financial motivations of his own) was paying for her testimony.

The judge declined to strike her testimony and told the defense it sounded like it would be an appropriate question for Tinsley during cross.

If I were the prosecution, I would bring it up during direct in order to lessen the surprise. Let Tinsley answer why he donated instead of the defense bringing it up.

Barber didn’t want that smoke from Tinsley.
