Apparently a couple of jurors have told the court they will have an issue continuing their service if they trial goes past 3 weeks.

Is that something a juror even has a choice on?

Probably depends on the nature of their concern.

This could also just be the jurors telling everyone to get a move on.

I would imagine that it varies by which court and the reason for the shortened availability.

Is this guy going broke because he is an hourly employee or works for himself? Does he have a European vacation all bought and paid for? Is he scheduled for a knee replacement?

Back when the jury was seated, they also had alternates to be there, just in case they were needed.I don't remember how many, though.

The prosecution did not get all it could have out of this very crucial witness, IMO. Instead of hammering home the key points they acted like they were afraid she was going to say something they didn’t want her to.

Tuesday and the blue jacket and the blue tarp that Alex Murdaugh took with him to visit his Alzheimer-affected Mother the night that his wife and son were shot dead may feature in today's court. When will the jury start to hear about the potential financial motive?

She was nervous and had already made conflicting statements. They had to be careful and not push too hard. To me, the story that she told about AM telling her how long he was at the mom's house the night of the murders is what will do him in. I listened to one of the podcasts this morning and the host who was in court yesterday said the jury was hanging on her every word.

I think both sides pushed her too much at times. The different questions about the tarp and rain jacket mixed together really confused her. She showed more fear than just being nervous.

And he came back later same day or next day and asked her about her wedding plans, commented that weddings were expensive and apparently offered to help pay for her wedding. And then casually mentioned he was good friends with the principal of the school where she worked (day job lunchroom lady).

Prosecution not really doing themselves any favors. I already found the motive a stretch and now they are fixated on this rain coat/tarp situation that doesn't really do much for them in the first place.

1.) He apparently got rid of his other clothes so why would he keep the rain coat? 2.) They found gun shot residue on a raincoat and he shoots guns all time. I mean who cares?

At this point I'm leaning towards huge jury. At least one person on that try is not 100% convinced he did it.

I really hope that when the elder Mrs. Murdaugh passes, that this sitter will have no problems finding her next job.

The OJ trial lasted almost 5 months, but these soft jurors can’t last 3 weeks.

Looks like someone isn't aware that Striped Bass start their run up the rivers in 3 weeks here in South Carolina.

Is this Jury sequestered?

Or can bass be fished only during working hours? Or do they taste better if they are caught when on 'sick leave'?

Aren't the jury members required to stay in a hotel and away from family? Also, don't the jury members get paid like $10.00 a day?

So they found gunshot residue on the blue jacket. And the seat belt buckle. But they don’t know when/how it got there. Sounds like they believe the gun was wrapped up in the jacket? But where is it then? I need a timeline of all of the events (searches, AMs actions, etc.) I can’t keep all this shite straight.

A ton of GSR found inside the blue rain coat. The defense tried for months to get this thrown out as evidence. Something had/has them worried about it. Not completely sure why. The GSR doesn’t tell where it came from or doesn’t identify the weapon it came from. However, it was interesting the expect said it was consistent with a recently shot firearm. It will be interesting to see how the defense counters.

Also, I’ve already read dumbass comments saying that it could have been worn while hunting.
