If you get the job, please be clear when you write the work order for a piece of equipment to be fixed, so I can at least go find it to plan for you.

you want to be able to show that you have the ability and assertiveness to make decisions on your own (within the confines of the rules), but will escalate it to the supervisor if needed.
I'm not talking about a question like "What would you do if you needed to turn a valve?" More along the lines of "What would you do if you discovered a process leak in the alleyway?" The wrong answer is to handle it on your own. As well as for any other questions regarding abnormal operating conditions.

Clear enough for you?? I mean, damn.
Probably because the operators didn't check the oil and ran it dry.

Operators don’t give a frick about oil levels. That’s what maintenance is for.

Operators job to check oil. I fill it after I replace the bearings they smoked from running it dry.

If these are behavioral based questions then just Google examples. Don't show up Monday unprepared. Also, come up with at least two questions about the work you would be doing. Don't ask about pay or benefits.

What are some questions I should expect? Any advice?
Trying to better my family so I want to knock this interview monday out the park. Prayers also would be appreciated.
If they ask you how you park, make sure you to state you always back in. Only hippy figs pull nose first into a parking spot.
In all seriousness, always answer questions with safety in mind. Make sure to also stress being a good team mate. They don't want to hire someone who doesn't get along with others. It sure sucks being stuck on shift with someone who's a fricking dick head.

Procedures. Lol. Operators follow procedures the same way the average man uses the directions that came with the new entertainment center they just bought. Maybe 1 out of 20? Maybe.

You are talking out of your arse or you work with piss poor operators. If it’s a routine job that I know well then of course I don’t need the procedure, but if it’s a seldom done task that is complicated then I will use the procedure every time just to cover my arse.

Yeah......
Just wait until something goes wrong, or someone gets hurt.
Better have a good union rep, b/c you gonna get ripped to shreds during the investigation

They’ve started making us initial and date step by step critical procedures. It’s a huge pain in the arse.
Posted on 12/7/18 at 7:24 pm to ellunchboxo
We’ve always had to sign and date our procedures but they’re so terribly written that they are useless

You need to tell us what type of facility we can better help.
Refinery?
Chemicals?
Natural gas liquification?
Find out everything you can about the company. They typically like to talk about themselves and how awesome their company is. Brown nose the shite out of them.
