The one song that made that list worthwhile. Having Lemmy in the video certainly helped.
Boys Don't Cry - I wanna be a cowboy
I saw this band a couple of times in L.A. back in 1985. This song always stuck with me. Lone Justce - Shelter

Games without Frontiers - Peter Gabriel ft Kate Bush
Pretty sure Peter Gabriel hit that, she also collaborated with him on "Don't Give Up".

The 80's were the greatest musical decade.
said no one ever
It could be said, with the birth of MTV in 1981, the original point could be argued. While artists had made music videos before the 80's popular music had never had such an instrument to reach into peoples homes. With the addition of video to the music, it opened up artists creatively and made our music not only aural, but visual as well. If you think we went from disco to hip hop in the course of a decade with country music being widely popular at the same time, the original thesis had a significant amount of validity.
Now, conversely, I could also argue that the 80's had gotten stale by the end of the decade (hence the explosion that was Nirvana in 1991) and I could argue the 90's were more diverse musically, but the 80's laid the ground work for that diversity.

I liked that song growing up. Not sure why they included that video, though, since the song had legs and was featured in The Last Boy Scout movie.

That was amazing and the accuracy to the original video is uncanny.

I think the 80’s had some of the best AND worst music of any decade. You also have to include MTV when thinking of the 80’s.
My Sunday morning routine has evolved into switching back and forth between political shows and MTV Classic’s ‘I Love the 80’s’. When a bad video comes on, try some politics. After 5 minutes of politics, back to feel good 80’s.

Went down the rabbit hole and wound up finding this gem, which is a 2017 update of a terrific 80's song.
Ann Wilson
Edit...Had absolutely no idea Mutt Lange wrote this song
Best Ann has looked and sounded in years

The 60s and 70s were the best decades of music. They had the Beatles, stones, zeppelin, Dylan, Pink Floyd.
Yes the 80s had mtv which led to bigger fandoms but the 2000s had Internet and no one would argue it’s the best.

LOL. Remember Don Ameche “breakdancing” in the movie to that song. :)
For bonus points (and without Googleing!)does anyone recall who the female alien was in that movie?

Let's Actives Big Plans For Everybody tops my list of the best album that almost nobody has ever heard of. Not a weak track, not even a weak note played on the whole thing.
Speaking of Xanthus, does anybody remember the BDSM theme nights over there? That was the wildest stuff BR would ever allow to happen without getting some kind of protest or police involvement.
