It's time for a replacement.

Murphy Paul lives in Pelican Pointe in Ascension Parish. He couldn’t care less what goes on in Baton Rouge. His family is safe in a gated community. He’s gotta go.

Always hilarious to see Nak go banging on the door of some cane field councilman over a questionable expense report but he hides under the bed when there's real corruption/incompetence in EBR government.
Kiran Chawla is the TRUE hero this city needs

Him and the mayors goal is to have the department at over 90% black officers.

.... yet he said the letter was worthless because it was written by someone who doesn't live in Baton Rouge

This line of thinking allows a failure of a mayor, like Broome, to use Paul as a scapegoat. She is just as, if not more, responsible for this abysmal crime rate.
But what’s the point if people won’t call her out publicly due to fear of accused racism? Seems like our culture to never criticize blacks publicly . And culture affects politics which in turn affects culture. But how do we affect culture? How do we judge a person’s content of character vs the color of their skin? Skin color will takes priority in public matters.

Does the IUPA carry any weight to where this is a legitimate call for change ?

This is one of my issues with him as well. He doesn’t even live in the community.

Chef paul doesn't even live in the parish.
He should live at the corner of Plank and Evangeline.

MP ran State Police Internal Affairs for years. Prior to running it, he served in Internal Affiars as the head political hatchet man for whoever happened to be the Colonel at that time. After IA, he sat on Edmonds command staff and went on the same infamous trip to Vegas. He is in the picture. He just happened to be the Chief of BRPD when the shite hit the fan over the issue. Amazing how no one has ever brought any of his LSP background up. The man literally knows nothing about police work, let alone policing a large metropolitan city. He knows cronyism , retaliation , and cover up. He knows how to retain power for his boss and himself. He doesn’t care how many children are murdered in the city , let alone crimes committed in good parts of town. He wants to maintain a certain perception for the Mayor and that’s it. This is the job she tasked him with—don’t do anything to incite marches and protests, even if it means ignoring violent crime. The body count and collateral damage is irrelevant as long as the community doesn’t protest or march because the police shot someone.

He should be completely embarrassed. He just keeps looking like an idiot who lost (or never had) control.
But when you have a mayor whose answer to crime is to have "peace week" what do you expect?
