Kaylee has made up her mind that the shooting was unnecessary based on her interaction with the panhandler. She has no idea, and neither do we, what occurred afterward.

How many interactions with bums do you think the shooter has had? Unless he's a serial bum killer, it doesn't occur to you that perhaps something happened that caused him to react differently this time?

I've also been hassled hundreds of times for money. Only had one incident that could have escalated.
Never assume that each incident doesn't have the potential to go south quickly.
You are dealing with people who often are substace abusers who live on the streets. Why would expect that each encounter with them is risk free?

I don’t know what happened here, but gas station owners, shopping center owners and other retail owners have let their stores become unsafe places. I know my wife is very uncomfortable at times and has frequently been approached by the beggars and she feels threatened. It is just a matter of time until a shopper gets hurt.

That’s some dumb arse reasoning. Because I get in my car and drive the streets of BR every day without incident, does that mean I’ll never see a car accident in Baton Rouge?

I don't know that I've ever had one pull my door handle but I've had them stand right next to my window and stare at me. Attempting to enter my vehicle is going to be a problem for them.

but do you really think the victim got all delirious and threatening in the time between asking kaylee for
money and being shot by the guy?
this guy has obviously been hitting up every mom coming out of trader joes for some time. is it more likely he jsut happened to go buck wild on the guy that had a gun or is it more likely gun guy is a trigger happy dick who is annoyed by panhandlers.

All I know and see is panhandling is a definite problem in Baton Rouge and broom refuses to do anything about it

I have no idea what happened, or what triggered this, but I do know that It was bound to happen sooner or later. You can’t expect people to be allowed to get in people’s personal space, during a pandemic no less, and aggressively work people for their money and something like this not eventually take place. This is why I put this on this city’s leadership, or rather lack thereof, who allow this shite to go on unchecked all day long in this city everywhere you go. It’s out of control, and eventually something like this is going to happen.

Seriously? It's way more likely a panhandler went off on someone calling him out for harassing people than a normal member of society going to the grocery store with his wife just deciding to murder someone that day.
Do you find being a panhandling bum less offensive than being someone who carries and who possibly happens to be annoyed by panhandling bums?

Consider she even says all she heard was a pop. She admits she didn't see anything. So that's almost worthless.
It gets even more foolish when you see her twitter. Black Lives Matter in the bio, plenty of ghetto content. I'd be blown away if she didn't have an agenda and or was telling the whole truth.
Furthermore, what kind of person is right next to the action in time and place and then leaves?! That's suspect as well.
Add it all up and I'll keep waiting for the facts.
