Lemme guess without watching.

Some PBS coastal leftist douche type parachutes into a rural area and finds the most destitute people to profile and then tells everyone how the entire community is about to die and rural life in America is like living in the third world?

Is that about right?

It's Peter Santello, a YouTuber, so no.

It's a good guess though.

Wrong.

This is the second almost one hour video Peter Santenello has put out rural LA and Cajuns, the first one was pretty universally liked here. The creator has no agenda and just lets people tell their stories. His videos are normally excellent and he does them all over the country and has nearly 3 million followers.

Should watch. Second video he's done around the area, both great watches. Nothing depressing at all, only shedding light on what it's like over here. And they're spot on. Down to earth people that like to eat and handle their own business.

Both videos are great. I've seen several of his videos and he does a good job. He's not always on point, but he tries to let people tell their stories. He had done a nice job on Louisiana so far and I think he really likes what he has seen so far.

That one guy who looked 65-70 at 0:22 said his grandfather was in the Civil war. That's not even possible. Say he's 70 + 70 (parents waited until 35 each), that's 140. That'd be 1884 today.

If he's 70 today, and say youngest born to be in Civil war was 15 years old, that means born in 1864-15 is 1849. 2024-70 is 1954. 1954-1849 is 105. His grandfather would have to be 105 years older than him.

Highly unlikely, but then again, John Tyler’s grandson is still kicking

70 year olds sometimes make up their own little truths, is what I’m noticing as I get older.
I wouldn’t get too hung up on it.

Yea I doubt it too, but cool story to talk about in the family. Even though you start adding up the years. There's what I think are made up stories about my grandpa, but we go with it.

But Theo Von's dad was born in 1910 i believe he said. Sometimes them old 70 year old balls are still shooting live rounds.

I've watched a few videos he did on Reservations. Very cool and informative. I also like the fact he allows people to just tell their story.

It's possible. People have kids in their 70's. President Tyler was born in 1790 and still has grandkids alive.

I hear his wife edits the videos while he does the interviewing and taking the videos. They both do top notch work.

I enjoyed watching both.

Hardworking folks in a tough environment.

I know the Delta famers had relied on H2A’s for a while, I didn’t realize South LA utilized them too.
