yes it does. Show me where it says beating someone over words is legal.

Are you really trying to argue that beating an unconscious person meets the “Stand Your Ground” legal standards?

I’ve read so stupid takes in this thread but this is up there at the top

I won’t insult your intelligence by suggesting you actually believe what you just said.

You don’t know 2 and 3. I’m only going off the evidence. Which is the video.

George Zimmerman was following Trayvon Martin. That was not a crime. When they started fighting, Zimmerman used deadly force. That also, was not a crime.

I still can’t get over someone thinking because he’s been released from the hospital that he won’t suffer permanent brain damage. How do people still not understand TBI with all the attention that’s been given to it over the last decade?

If they were treated and released from the hospital, then the prior comments in this thread making it seem like the guy has permanent brain damage and it’s an attempted murder case are retarded.

Don’t be a sheep to the mainstream media. I get my facts from Twitter and Reddit comments

Good luck on that one. Gonna be hard to convince people that the guy that followed him home was the one that was assaulted.

But, let's say video surfaces and the kid knocked out is the one that started it. Does that give the other guy the right to continue hitting him after he is clearly out?

If Zimmerman stood over an unconscious Martin and then shot him, he would have been guilty. You seem slow

He is right about the following and stand your ground

That’s exactly what was ruled in the Zimmerman case. Zimmerman folllwed Martin, but still wa sable to use the stand your ground defense

However, hitting an unconscious person is going to be a crime

I mean Joe Schillling, a trained MMA fighter, convinced a judge that his life was in danger against a drunk much smaller man who merely bumped into him at a bar.

I think when 2 people are fighting, it’s quite easy to argue that your life is in danger. Even the guy with the upper hand could claim that he felt he had to hit him unconscious due to the threat that he may have a weapon.

It’s a fight. Dude lost. Should have walked away. Excessive beating. Sure. But under the law, at least if it were in Florida, completely legal.

It’s conceivable this guy gets off with relatively nothing if Alabama has similar stand your ground laws as Florida.

Stand your ground after you follow a guy home?
