Chain auto stores know that wiper blades are an afterthought and are usually replaced on a whim or when they have totally disintegrated so folks don't price shop.
Since most of you baws probably drive a F150, I looked up blades for a 2022 and they ranged between $3 and $10 each. If you order a few then the $8 shipping makes it a deal.

Got a set of good Bosch blades on amazon last month for $30

I replaced mine on Friday with Michelin blades from Costco. $7.99 each

They are expensive for sure. Everytime you wash your car, spray some WD40 on a rag and run it down the length of the blade a couple of times. This will increase the life of your wipers by a lot.

Mine last time were too expensive but yes everything is getting absurd and like anything else car wise you never do it at the dealership.
My concern with a development like this will be more people will simply run their wiper blades until they fall off. They'll of course then wreck which could take my car with it or in the very least end up as debris in the road that could cause a flat tire.
Just like my concern with rising car insurance. All it's going to do is cause more drivers on the road to either have the paper insurance only (The General) or no insurance at all.

Cant understand why everyone isnt doing this. I grab a new set for each vehicle when they go on sale at 7.99, which is every few mos.

Autozone and O'Reilly are basically convenience stores for auto parts. If you have the time order from Rock Auto or 1A auto Parts online. Much cheaper and you can select the quality that you want.

Rock Auto,
You’re crazy if you buy parts other than somewhere like this.
Posted on 10/29/23 at 9:57 pm to Ric Flair
They put the cheap regular ones behind the counter. You have to ask for them.
$13 a piece. They last long enough.

I stopped buying anything that isn’t behind the counter at auto parts stores. 5 quarts of oil can be $40 at AutoZone and $25 at Walmart. Same with wipers, filters, etc.

I just purchased a pair with frames for my Silverado.
They were around $15 for both.
Anco was the brand.

This. A little over a year ago I needed 6 coil on plugs and the OE (Denso) at Autozone were $110 each and they were just under $50 at Rockauto so a $360 savings. I think the total for 6 plus Denso spark plugs and an intake manifold gasket was under $400 including paying for overnight shipping compared to nearly $800 for the same exact same parts. I could have saved another $50 if I was willing to wait a couple of extra days.

I bought a couple sets December 2022, $11 for 22" and $12.15 for 18".
Latest review is from Oct 8, so they were still there recently; and maybe will return.

I made a thread like this a few weeks ago. One 36” wood rod and two shitty metal rod holders from Home Depot was $18.

This is why you buy one at a time.
