Simple Solution - Do not put yourself in a way where you have to interact with any of these people socially. I understand you may have to deal with them with work, but in your social life, keep away from them. Nothing good comes from it. Dont put yourself in that situation.

This is your reminder that many police stations offer safe places to sell online marketplace things. I'm not victim-blaming. Far from it. Just pointing out another layer of protections one can utilize. Whenever I sell something on FB marketplace, I make sure to stipulate that transactions will occur at XYZ police station. Seems to weed out a lot of bullshite.
