Bars are fricked up bro. A crazy number of them do have fentanyl laced in them, which will kill you if you have JUST enough.

Xanax bars... not the actual bar...

See, this was the play on words I was using. I know a "bar" is slang for Xanax. I graduated from a high school that had 3 ODs in a 2 year period, 2 being from "bars", another from oxycontin. One was one of my best friends brother. OP's story mentions the kid being at a bar, Bogies. Then he states he never saw the appeal or whatever of "bars"

It was a joke. Not a tough one to get either. Like I said, I'm not the only one that made the joke. Sorry to have caused so much confusion

You're trying really hard to look like you knew what you were talking about. But it's not fooling anyone

I remember when the worse thing to happen was CNN showing drunk kids getting escorted home in grocery carts.

These kids were going to college and presumably had a future. This wasn't Cletus on disability swallowing pills to dull the pain of his dead end existence. The evidence of what this shite does to you is all around, they can see it with their own eyes, and they do it anyway.

They made the decision to ingest drugs. Not sure how much of a future they really had with that sort of decision making.

I am a personal freedom guy and think everyone should be able to do what they want to do with their own bodies as long as it doesn't affect others. I also know a few people from my college days that OD'd on cocaine. That being said, let's not act like just because they were in college we should mourn their poor decisions any more or less than anyone else that went down the same path as it's hard not to know the risk drugs pose.

Yea I knew it could be interpreted that way too. Thought it was funny though that the OP singled out xanax as the bad actor in an OD involving fentanyl. Seemed to imply the kid would have lived if he'd have just skipped the xanax and stuck to booze and fentanyl like everyone else.
