I agree with this premise, but that isn't all there is to it. Teens were also committing suicide before social media and the internet became a thing.

But we now know so much more about mental illness that we didn't know back then. About how the brain works and the chemical imbalance that can lead to the decision to taking one's life.

40 years ago, people were so baffled by how such a thing could happen; at least now we understand that brain malfunction plays a huge part.

So how do we approach a teenage kid who appears perfectly normal and doesn't show outward signs of anything being "wrong" inside? That is a hard question to answer. Parents aren't always to blame. This is a family where the parents are very involved in their kids lives. Some kids are just really good at hiding their inner feelings. It is just a sad situation with no real obvious answer.

Suicides jumped 29% among adolescents ages 15 to 19 over the previous decade

What else made a big jump during the past decade? Look at me, look at me social media

Progressive liberal ideologies are destroying the very fibers of this country and our youth are feeling it’s impact.

Over the past month or so, I know 2 different families who lost a teenage child to suicide.

Same... two here recently, as well. These were young teens under the age of 15. Both were heavily involved in sports and outdoor activities. I can't claim to know what happened behind closed doors, but these kids seemed to be as normal as any other.

One of these kids apparently got mad about having his phone taken away, and took his own life at his grandparents' house.

There are times when our 15 year old gets pissed about some trivial bullshite like this that the thought crosses my mind if I truly have a grasp on what's happening in our kids' lives outside our walls.

The teens can’t leave the bullies at school. It’s constant mental pressure when they continue to harass them on social media from home…
