I can't stand seeing ex-coworker teachers using slang on FB and Instagram like:
ion - I don't
Chile- child
If I saw my child's teacher posting shite like this I would remove them from that class. Most of these teachers have multiple Master degrees and some have Doctorates (from online schools, of course) yet they can't pass the Praxis test for Elementary Education. During Covid, several had someone take the Praxis for them since it was not in person (still don't know how they did this).
Also, when they put 'on' in front of tomorrow, today, etc. "We will have free dress on tomorrow" I used to hate the announcements when they did this. I am so happy to be out of the classroom!

Nauseous vs nauseated
Nauseated = sick
Nauseous = make others sick
Nauseated = sick
Nauseous = make others sick

The word literally as an emphasizer. It's become ubiquitous, to the point you hear the word used wrong almost exclusively.

Anybody who writes/types/says "could of", "would of", or "should of" is mentally retarded and shouldn't reproduce.

Use of the word “irregardless”

Golfing instead of playing golf.

“Should of”.
“I seen”.
“All the sudden”.
I see these on this board quite a bit.

know it’s a Southern thing but I hear intelligent people sound very hick when they misuse the “done” thing.
y'all
It doesn't necessarily sound hick, but when I hear someone say that in a professional setting, like a big meeting between companies or something of that nature, it bothers me to say the least.

Also too. Like especially to start a new sentence to add to what was said. Just also will suffice. For example:
“He shouldn’t have done that. Also too he shouldn’t have said what he said. “
They mean the same fricking thing don’t say them both it’s repetitious.

When people on the message board begin a topic with a question, “Who Here….” The “here” part should be assumed.
