On the day of the crash I was interviewing for a job at Godfathers' Pizza on Veterans Blvd. I rode my bike to the interview.

So you weren’t always a liberal cuck. Good to know. When were you indoctrinated?

I went to high school with a guy whose parent's were on that flight

I went to HS with M. Marks as both her parents perished in the crash. 4 children were left w/out their mom and dad. They were originally awarded $5.2M in the settlement. PanAm appealed the jury awards verdict and in 1984 it was reduced to $2.45M. Mr. Everard Marks (deceased) was in the business of purchasing and selling/leasing oil and gas properties. Crazy how low those numbers seem granted it was in 1984, approx. 40 years ago. Here is the financial breakdown from Justia Law. FWIW - I'm a vocational expert and often testify to the same type of information regarding loss of financial income/wages.

1. Loss of support:
E. Marks ................. $95,299.00
S. Marks ................. $107,784.00
M. Marks ................. $100,591.00
K. Marks ................. $121,984.00

2. Loss of services:
E. Marks ................ $2,263.00
S. Marks ................ $3,868.00
M. Marks ................ $6,275.00
K. Marks ................ $15,547.00

$2,000,000 was awarded for the loss of inheritance.

That tragedy prompted wind sheer technology. Game changer but at a huge cost.

I was in school during this time and a handful of us picked $10k in stock and were tracking it for the year. I went all in on Pan Am.

Good job, Jonah.

I remember it, I was in Lake Ponchartrain watching the cell via marine radar. WWL-TV cut in with a special report and I could see the smoke from the explosion & fire soon afterwards from a long ways away, once the cell moved on.

Tragic. Knew someone close to a victim.

I know a guy who was running late to the airport and didn't make the flight. It was for a friend's bachelor party in Las Vegas.

It was his lucky day.

In one of the destroyed houses, a 16-month-old baby girl was discovered in a crib covered with debris that protected her from the flames, sustaining only minor burns.[5] The child's mother and 4-year-old sister were killed.

Known her since college, she is a cool chick.

I spent a few hours digging into that tragedy years ago including lining up some maps with the crash. Eerie
