In New Orleans for IADC. Arrived about 7:15 staying at The Ritz.

Was driving down Canal admiring the beauty of the street and New Orleans thinking the bad press is overblown. Had to make the block to get back to the hotel.
Turned right on St Charles, right on Common St and stopped in front of Brothers Food Mart store waiting to take a right on Carondelet St. Hollee shite. 1 block off Canal and it turns ugly. I pity the tourist that makes a wrong turn and gets off the beaten path.

Once you get past all the bright lights of Bourbon street it gets very dark and dangerous… best bet is to turn around if it’s not too late…
