This is stupid. Homeschooled kids in the 80's and 90's sure... But today there are so many social and sporting events for these kids that they are pretty socially normal.

Yet the kids you read about being starved and locked in cages are exclusively home schooled.

Nobody reads about this.

Have you seen schools recently?

Ill take my chances with home schooling.

Weird doesn't discriminate. You're only noticing a small percentage of the group. The balance of the group goes unnoticed.

I live in East Tennessee and we have solid elementary public schools and no one is woke.

same here in Norman, OK the most liberal town in the state, albeit a very red state. There is *some* wokeness in town and in schools for sure, but it's not prevalent.

What you interpret as weirdness is just them being better educated and smarter overall than you are.

Not true. They usually excel if they go back to school to merely graduate. I have personal experience with 2 high school valedictorians who were home schooled through junior years. Then……on to HS as seniors.

Most people fail to understand that learning how to socialize is as important to a child's development as learning to read. The kids that are home-schooled don't know how to deal with other people. They are emotionally stunted

Ahhh...have you seen kids today? They don't talk to one another face to face. They text or talk on some form of social media. They have are the least socialized group this country has ever produced.

One mom was not a particularly good teacher and when she sent her kids to public high school, they were behind. The other one was a good teacher and her kids were quite sharp and extremely well behaved. They were over at our house a lot.

This is the key. Most homeschoolers I've known had no business training dogs, much less delivering curriculum to a child.

Oklahoma has an online school (Epic.) Few things in life upset me more than shitty-arse parents who have their kid sit in front of a computer screen all day while calling it "homeschooling." Those poor kids are fricked

I worked with an architect a couple years back. He had drawn up a few options for a light fixture layout and I commented that one of them looked a bit like The “S”.

He had no idea what I was talking about, even after seeing a picture. I couldn’t understand how this was possible, this guy was in his mid-late 30s.

Turns out he was homeschooled until college, and therefore never encountered this cultural phenomenon.

That used to be the case but not anymore bro. Some of the best families I know are not putting their kids in these trash infested schools with purple haired indoctrinaters but instead home schooling with part time catholic school as an add on.
