Dad coming home from Vietnam on leave.
ETA: I had no clue. He had already been gone for six months. Christmas eve morning I'm half asleep and I'm thinking I'm having a dream about hearing my Dad's voice. Then, there he is.
He went to Vietnam three times - and this was his last tour and the only time he came home on leave.

My first four wheeler when I was like 10. Was a little Yamaha 80.
My dad bought me a helmet and I got to open it with the rest of my presents. He told me he thought santa was getting the 4wheeler for me and apologized profusely for getting my hopes up that he would write santa a nasty letter for me. He dragged on and on for like an hour. I was devastated until he asked me to help him grab some firewood from behind the barn. There she was in all her glory and I went nuts.
Looking back people will say it was mean, but I still think it was cool as shite
