i dont and most educated professionals dont. Sure some in medical field do and certain types of lawyers like SFP do
but for the most part...no professionals dont interact with genpop on a normal basis or at least the interactions are very limited
we will just disagree that its a bad thing to have to be around ghetto trash everyday. all good

I don’t consider it a bad thing for my kid to have to interact with the general population. Is that a crazy take to have? Don’t we all have to interact with the general population like everyday?
Unnecessary for him to be having to navigate all that bullshite during his dedicated time to get a formal education.

because you have less class disruptors and 99% of the kids there are going to be from families that value education. I am product of public school and my kids go to private, i have seen the ownership that the families at private schools take. Think of only having your best kids from public school in school together and how nice that is
i dont want my kids around shite heads.
In my area, with my kids, I KNOW I made the right decision.
My kids graduated from HS from 2007 to 2016 and they'll all emphatically agree with my opinion.
Good luck to everyone facing this decision.

my thing is...why would anyone volunteer to do this

this is kind of the exception and I personally can only handle it a little bit at a time for reasons you alluded to

why not get into the AP program at a private school and do dual enrollment senior year so he never has to be around the ghetto arse kids even at lunch
You can do that exact thing at public schools.

and what about extra curriculars like sports? that is important along with education to some. I dont want my kids playing sports with a bunch of ghetto genpop kids either.
Why not? It will probably make them better. Or is your kid not good enough to compete with them? Public schools are great with sports.

nor going on beta club trips or even eating lunch with them
Then tell them to sit at a different table than them. Your kid is going to be ok sitting in the same cafeteria as another kid that isn’t Catholic.

no but i dont want my kid around a bunch of ghetto arse kids who football is the only reason they are still in school. you realize they spend hours together right?

yea but you still have to be around ghetto trash all day

you are so fricking naive bro not even funny
its cool you do you and what you think is right for your kids. You sound like a good dad just trying to do the best he can.

but let me ask you a questions...if its so good to be around those people, why dont you go build a house in the projects? that away your kids can experience life and then they can come home to you and you can be the good dad and make sure none of that stuff influences them at all.

I think you are confused as to what I am saying. I’m not saying I would ever willingly send my kid to a bad school. My first response was to the guy that said he doesn’t understand why anyone would ever send their kid to a public school over a private school no matter where they are in the country. I simply said there are plenty of really good public schools out there, many of them being better than a lot of private schools. I’m not talking about Louisiana, I’m talking about all over the country.

You know that there are plenty of public schools that aren’t full with ghetto arse kids right? This whole back and forth started because you said there is no way you would ever send your kids to ANY public school over a private school. So yeah I’m not saying I’m going to send my kids to Booker T Washington or some bullshite like that.

Again, not every public school is filled with ghetto trash.

You have somehow twisted this into me saying that I want my kids to be surrounded by ghetto trash and not by successful people

of course and that is not what i said...all things being equal I would chose the private catholic
sometimes not all is equal, sometimes the public is the better school

no shite, i said that 100 times.

i didnt twist shite
look i have 2 that will more than likely end up in the AP program at a public school. All things being equal i would rather them at the local catholic school. but all things arent equal so they will be in the AP program at a local public.
but they will still have to deal with bullshite from the genpop kids that my oldest that will be strictly private wont have to deal with. They will be exposed to shite my older wont.
I am just saying...all things being equal im choosing private over public

I went to a school that was a combo of public and magnet. In all of my classes I was surrounded by normal people from middle to upper class families. I was still on campus with the neighborhood kids so I saw plenty of dumb and crazy shite. Not once did I ever think to myself “hey I should hang out with them and do that as well” because I’m not a fricking idiot.

umm exactly...if you the private school is better and in most cases it is, then send them there.
nothing i said contradicts that
i dont want my kids in government schools.
sorry that is so hard for you to understand and if you feel the opposite that is cool, IDGAF.
