I mean, you pulled off the biggest crime ever. Why not brag about it? He was a political activist, one would think he would want people to know why he did it, right?

Case Closed is the definitive book on the JFK assassination, imo. It's very excellently researched and documented.
Just bought the audible book.

No way that from 6 stories up you don't have a good shot coming toward you

Jim Garrison was a publicity-seeking self-aggrandizer.
He flew spotter airplanes for the Artillery in WW2 and served for many years as a prosecutor and Judge. That kind of person doesn't fit the profile of what you say he was.

Jim Garrison was a publicity-seeking self-aggrandizer. His case against Clay Shaw was a farce and it fell apart very quickly.
I never realized that until I watched some 1960's interviews with him about a year ago. He really was just another crazy New Orleans politician who loved attention. He actually looked and sounded like he could have been drunk in some of his press availabilities.
It still amazes me that Oliver Stone ran with the whole bullshite theory that Clay Shaw's "secret meeting" in an apartment around Ursulines was about killing JFK, as opposed to what "secret" apartment parties in that neighborhood always were. But of course in those years Shaw couldn't just come out and say how exactly he was spending his private time, so he became an easy target for an attention-starved bully like Jim Garrison.

Well, if you knew anything about the guy, you'd know he was exactly what I said he was.

I think it's highly probable that Jim Garrison liked to tip the bottle a little too much. I personally also think he had a screw loose, from what I've read and heard about him.

Oliver Stone (or "Stoned," as some people call him) probably did a little too much coke in his younger years. His movie JFK was almost entirely complete bullshite. He got some names and dates right, but that's about it. That last scene where Kevin Costner as Jim Garrison giving that rousing courtroom speech is complete fiction, it never happened. And it's still amazing how many people I encounter to this day who think "JFK" is factual.

I think you'll find it very interesting and worthwhile.

Because Oswald loved playing for attention and jerking people around. Do some reading up on the guy...he had illusions of grandeur and was just a strange guy. And the overwhelming weight of the available evidence points to Oswald as Kennedy's assassin. None of the conspiracy theorists have been able to come up with any concrete evidence to support their viewpoint, just speculation which they try to pass off as "fact."

Another reason that Ruby was a poor choice to hire as an assassin is that everyone who ever knew him said he was a loudmouth and braggart who couldn't keep a secret to save his life.

There is at least as much evidence that not a single shot fired by Oswald hit JFK.

consider also that Oswalds rating from his USMC days also scored him high when firing from a seated position.
Marines are taught to fire from four basic positions. Listed in order of increasing stability, they are:
Standing, Kneeling, Sitting, and Prone
All shooters normally score higher when shooting from more stable positions so your comment is nothing noteworthy. Any recruit is expected to fire more accurately from a sitting position than from a standing or kneeling position.

These are the three officially recorded shots as viewed from the "sniper's nest". Shots that hit JFK are denoted in red. Notice shot number two is unbelievably off mark . . . . almost as if it came from a different shooter?

He left the scene of the crime. He later armed himself to "see a movie". This sounds like someone who wanted to live and expected to defend himself. That is 100% not what someone prone to bragging about his accomplishment does.
