Agreed. I was replying to a post that suggested that they couldn't write a coherent sentence presumably because they are black.

In the eyes of a very few, probably.

So it wasn't truly about the police officers, but about responding to BLM movement?

From what I have seen, there are as many white females and lumpy white male college students involved as there are black folks.

Should be for everyone. Comes across as a facade to attack BLM, not a genuine memorial for police officers.

This is where the digital world's connection to the real world breaks down. Reading random lines or tweets and making judgements is quite different from being connected to the actual event. Everyone reads their own bias into things they read on the internet.

According to the article in the OP they had "BLUE LIVES MATTER" written in big letters under the display.

There is no doubt in my mind that if blacks "take care" of the black on black crime, and in general all the other crime you see on your local TV news station and newspapers, the "injustice" felt by blacks by the hands of the Police will take care of itself.

So please explain to me how saying "Blue Lives Matter" isn't in some way responding to the BLM movement?

Using fallen police officer memorial as a platform for a political statement is messed up. Even if they had good intentions, the distraction alone of bringing in BLM to the memorial devalues their memorial

Oh the BLM people are ridiculous for violating free speech and clearly giong about this in an inappropriate way.

No one is. You just see it as a negative. The organizers probably saw a catchy slogan that would get attention.

Maybe BLM folks should see this as a compliment.

So you think bringing up another distracting topic during a memorial is appropriate?

I wouldn't bring up Westboro baptist church during a memorial for a fallen soldier. That would be extremely inappropriate.

Is an idiot. If brains were dynamite, he couldn't blow his nose.

Why is it that the AA community wants to be accepted as the same as everyone else, is against segregation, does not want to be pointed out, yet they want a separate Student Activity center, want AA history courses and it is BLACK lives matter...not ALL lives matter.

Such hypocritical bunk.
